Listen. You have to accept that racism is prejudice + power. You have to accept that only white people can be racist. I’m a white person too (shocking, I know!), and when I first heard that racism wasn’t what I thought it was, I felt uncomfortable too, but your feelings don’t come first in this matter. I don’t care if you don’t like it, or it makes you feel uncomfortable, because you have to accept that things aren’t always how you think they are.

Whoever said this thinks they know something when in fact they are just as ignorant as any racist. White people are by no means the only people capable of racism. I am white and I lived in Korea for 3 years. I was treated very differently than other Koreans and 99% of the time they were meaning to be nice and I was cool with it. But other times they were downright mean/rude. My friends and I were refused service for being white on more than one occasion. Also if I ever thought I had it bad, black people in Korea had it much worse. People would refer to them as being dirty or being monkeys and they would point at them and giggle. My point is not to shed a negative light on Koreans, but to display the fact that ANYONE CAN BE RACIST. NOT JUST WHITE PEOPLE. And anyone who thinks only white people can be racist are racist themselves.
